Protection for the American worker is addressed by regulations and Federal Standards. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, provides standards for industry that impact occupational safety and health. OSHA gives specific guidance for general industry in the 29 CFR Part 1910 and is referenced on this site.
Home safety addresses those areas around the home such as fire, falls, cooking, water safety and choking hazards. Identification of hazards in the home is a primary step in reducing risk and increasing safety in the household.
